Country Boy's BBQ is closed for a few days following a May 18 fire.
Country Boy's BBQ, owned by Tom and Anitra Dew, located at 400 Aplets Way in Cashmere, was closed due to a fire called in at 5:30 a.m. May 18.

'Friend of the Young Child': Thies earns Kiwanis award
Marion Thies, a retired school teacher of 31 years, has been named "Friend of the Young Child" for 2015 by the Wacoka Kiwanis Club of Cashmere. Thies will be presented with the award at a community social event that starts at 6 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the American Legion Hall, 401 Sunset Highway in Cashmere. The event includes hearty hors d'oeuvres.

The Cashmere Bulldogs (17-4 record) defeated the Chelan Goats in the District 6 Championship game at Cashmere High School Baseball Field by the score of 9-1 on Saturday.

Cashmere Baseball: Bulldogs beat Rangers, fall to Scotties
The Cashmere Bulldogs season came to an end on Saturday in the Regional Final at Larson Field in Moses Lake.

The Bulldogs fell to the Freeman Scotties by the score of 3-2 after defeating the Naches Valley Rangers by the score of 5-1 earlier in the day.
