Rava Rene (Condrey) Stewart

Rava Rene (Condrey) Stewart
On Nov. 9, at 1:09 a.m., beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord in her home, with her family at her side.

Rava Rene (Condrey) Stewart was born in the family home near Mountain View, Arkansas to Weldon and Bessie Condrey on April 12, 1944. She was the youngest of six children and was raised in Arkansas. Rava accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized in 1954. Rava graduated from the Mountain View High School. After graduation, she relocated to Wenatchee, Washington and later met her future husband, Thomas D.(Doug) Stewart. After a brief two month courtship, they were married on Oct. 29, 1964 and began a wonderfully fulfilled lifelong adventure with each other. A family was started right away with the birth of Juanita on Aug. 9, 1965 followed by Pauline 13 months later on Sept. 17, 1966. Rava was a full time mother and homemaker as her family was her most important treasure. When the girls started school, Rava became employed part time at Cashmere Drug, and later with Doanes Valley Pharmacy, but only with the understanding that she would not work while the girls were in school. Rava was blessed by being able to celebrate her 50th anniversary with Doug on Oct. 29, 2014 just a few short days before going to be with the Lord. She and Doug truly enjoyed a marriage made in heaven for all these years.

Dian Margaret (Ulrich) Thompson
Dian Thompson died Oct. 30, 2014, following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 29, 1938, to Herbert and Leola Ulrich in San Francisco, California. The family lived in Somers, Montana before relocating to Cashmere, where Dian graduated high school in 1955. She was among the first employees at George's In 'n' Out - now Rusty's Drive-In - and told of long lines on its opening weekend, with only a handful of inexperienced teenagers to serve them. Later, while a desk clerk at the Cascadian Hotel, Dian was named "Miss Western Hotels of 1960" in the company's short-lived pageant program. With the birth of her only child, Deborah, in 1962, Dian took on the difficult role of single motherhood at a time when it was not socially acceptable.

Following her marriage to John Howard Thompson in 1967, Dian completed her nursing degree at Wenatchee Valley College, starting as a licensed practical nurse at Deaconess Hospital and later working as a registered nurse at Wenatchee Valley Clinic. Dian's life was not all joyous; in later years she spoke candidly of the challenges of living with an alcoholic, manic depressive spouse. Following her husband's suicide in 1985, she decided to make a fresh start in Hawaii, returning to Wenatchee upon her retirement.
