Friday, August 20

Juvenile problem reported on Stine Hill Road.

Caller from Valley Street reported damage due to a drained pool which washed out the road.

Caller from Perry Street reported that she was in the process of moving out and when she came back that day to get more items, she found her belongings in the driveway and the locks changed.

Traffic offense on Titchenal Way.

Traffic offense reported on Brisky Canyon Road where caller said several Subarus were going up and down the road, doing doughnuts and ripping up and down the canyon. Caller said there was a convention at the fairgrounds and this would be going on all weekend.

Warrant arrest on Pioneer Drive.

Friday, August 13

Suspicious circumstances reported at the Conoco.

Theft reported on Mission Creek Road

Disturbance reported at the fuel station next to Rusty's.

Caller reported that his daughter's friend on Wohlers Road called and said that she thought someone was in her house, she heard a noise and found a broken lamp downstairs. She ran to a neighbor's house.

Caller reported that on June 22 a known person has her truck. He requested she give him a week and since then she had been trying to get a hold of him and cannot.

Civil complaint on Oak Street where caller had moved out and hired neighbors to do yard work for five hours at $12 an hour. Neighbors said that did 38 hours of work and made two trips to dump. Now they have a disagreement over payment.

Welfare check requested on Emerald Street where a car was there with flashers on for at least an hour. Caller tried to contact the owner, in his 70s, but no one answered the door.

Disturbance reported on Dryden Frontage Road. Caller said there was a big fight at the RV park. Caller would not stay on the line.

Burglary reported on Evergreen Drive. Caller found TV missing when they arrived home. Believed entry was made through the back sliding glass door, early that morning.

Monday, July 26

Caller from Mission Creek Road reported a firework was thrown into his yard.

Caller from Fisher Street reported a weapons violation. She heard a single shot, just like the night before.

Female reported a vehicle stolen from West Pleasant Avenue.

Stolen red Honda Accord was recovered when found over an embankment on the downhill side of the 6900 block of Stine Hill Road. It was found unoccupied.

Caller from Riverside Drive reported that twice over the weekend, gas was siphoned from their GMC Sierra truck.

Caller from Yaksum Canyon Road reported receiving harassing phone calls from his ex-wife, the most recent on July 23.

Caller reported a vehicle prowl at Rusty's Drive In. Her wallet was stolen out of her black Nissan Xterra on July 18.

Caller from Mission Creek Road reported it appeared that her lock had been tampered with. Possibly an attempted burglary which occurred on July 16.

Caller reported a hazard on Division Street and Sunset Hwy. where two juveniles were sitting in the middle of the road. One was a girl about 15-years-old. They were near a red car. Caller asked them what they were doing and they told her to mind her own business.

Search and rescue scam hits Chelan County
Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum warns of a "Search and Rescue Charity" potential scam occurring in the region. The alleged group randomly telephones local citizens and asks for donations/contributions to support local Search and Rescue programs. Citizens should be cautious with this organization and the Chelan County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue program does not solicit donations, nor does Chelan County Sheriff's Office work with any organization to raise funds.

Individuals wishing to contribute to Chelan County's program can call Chief Ron Hupp at 667-6835.

Recreation passes now available for motorcycles, open-top vehicles
Motorcycle and open-top vehicle owners now have a secure way of displaying their federal Interagency Recreation Pass and Northwest Forest Pass. A decal is available for affixing the pass to windshields.
