Cashmere Cares: Nonprofit partners with community to meet childrens' basic needs
“Barney’s taco night” benefit dinner on Friday, May 20, was cooked by the Graves family, Gena, Gala, Gary, Gara and Ginger, and sponsored by the Mission Creek Community Club. All proceeds go to Cashmere Cares for the “No kid cold” and “No kid hungry” goals. John Prescott, MCCC president, reported “about $2,500 was raised from an estimated attendance of around 150. We have 50 pounds of meat left over which will also be donated to Cashmere Cares.”
