Small Miracles concluded its summer free lunch program Aug. 11, serving 5,045 lunches to children in the Wenatchee Valley - 522 of those to children at the Cashmere location in Cottage Avenue Park.

Executive Director Linda Belton said the plan is to add a lunch site at Simpson Park on Pioneer Avenue next year.

Liquor & Cannabis Board says... Medical marijuana transition going well
The alignment of the medical and recreational marijuana systems has gone reasonably well, according to the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board. Due to the 2015 Cannabis Patient Protection Act, all medical marijuana dispensaries were to close as of July 1.
