Cashmere seeks nominations for high school Wall of Fame

Posted

CASHMERE — With graduation season approaching, the Cashmere School District is inviting community members to help choose the next honoree for the Cashmere High School Wall of Fame, an honor that recognizes alumni whose lives reflect service, leadership, and a lasting connection to their hometown.

The Wall of Fame highlights former students whose stories can serve as examples for today’s Bulldogs as they prepare to take their own next steps. This year’s honoree will be recognized during Cashmere High School’s graduation ceremony on June 5.

Nominees must have graduated from Cashmere High School in 2015 or earlier. In addition to professional or personal accomplishments, nominees should be individuals who have served their community and whose lives offer something the Class of 2026 can look to and emulate.

Nominations should be submitted before the next Wall of Fame board meeting, scheduled for mid-to-late February. Any nominations received after that meeting will be set aside and considered for the following year.

Last year’s Wall of Fame honoree was Lt. Cmdr. Jared Sutherland of the U.S. Navy, whose recognition highlighted both his career of service and his roots in Cashmere.

Nominations can be submitted by email to ASB Vice President Hadley Westlund at hwestlund.26@g.cashmere.wednet.edu or to Karin Blomquist at kblomquist@cashmere.wednet.edu. Nominations may also be mailed to Cashmere High School.

The Wall of Fame is meant not only to honor past graduates, but also to remind current students that big, meaningful lives can start in a small town — and often do.
