Chelan County opens applications for 2025 Tourism Grants

WENATCHEE - Chelan County officials have opened applications for 2025 lodging tax funds to support tourism-related marketing efforts and events in the area.

The county has set a deadline of 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 for interested parties to submit their applications. Potential grantees must apply online at www.co.chelan.wa.us.

For the calendar year 2025, Chelan County plans to allocate approximately $240,000 in marketing and events grants. The county requires that successful grant applications increase tourism and convention activity in Chelan County, boost overnight stays, and/or increase retail sales primarily in unincorporated Chelan County.

This initiative follows last year's allocation, where the county awarded just under $320,000 to 23 tourist-related groups.

The Chelan County Lodging Tax Committee will review applications during its October meeting. The committee will then make a final recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.
