Julie Reyes Boyce

Julie Castro Reyes was born November 25, 1950 to Jose Pablo Reyes and Librada Castro Reyes. She was raised in Talofofo, Guam with her 9 brothers and 3 sisters. Until her family moved to Peshastin, Washington in 1967.Julie went on to raise her daughters, Tracy Ann Kerr and Stacy Darlene Olivar, and her son, Jason Gilbert Kerr primarily in Guam.She later moved to Hawaii before settling back in Wenatchee, Washington in 2002.

In 2003, Julie connected with John Marshall Boyce Ill through family. She quickly became his Pookie & they were inseparable. After months of traveling all of the United States together, they returned to Wenatchee. In 2005, Julie and John were married. She gained a son, Marshall Boyce. They shared many special memories with the family over holidays, games nights or just because.

Over the years, Julie worked various jobs, but her favorite was as a cake decorator at the Fair Market, where she baked many birthday cakes for her grandchildren. Once retired, Julie enjoyed fishing at the lake with her kids and grandchildren. Cooking for many family parties or any friend craving delicious Chamorro food. She made sure everyone left with a full belly! Julie enjoyed road trips, scary movies, playing slug bug and camping trips with the grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Her laugh and smile were infectious. She left a mark everywhere she went!

Most of all, Julie enjoyed being a grandma to 13 beautiful grandchildren: Jesus, Ramon, Shena, Kayla, David, Jannie, Julie, Michelle, Joseph, Robert, Jason Gilbert, Jordan, and Jason Lee. Eventually, she was promoted to great-grandma (or Gigi) of 21 great-grandchildren. She even had bonus grandchildren & great-grandchildren who she loved just as much!

After more than 20 years battling cancer, Julie quietly went to be with God in early morning of February 19, 2025. Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Pablo Reyes & Librada Castro Reyes, her siblings Jose Reyes, Enrique Reyes, Edward Reyes, Ralph Reyes, Mary Jean Reyes, her sons Joseph Kerr and Jason Gilbert Kerr.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Tracy Ramirez (Dryden, WA); Stacy Olivar (Wenatchee, WA); and Marshall Boyce (Whiteville, NC); her 13 grandchildren; & 21 great-grandchildren; and her husband John Marshall Boyce III. She leaves behind 5 brothers, 2 sisters, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who became family.
