P.E.O. chapter offers scholarships for women returning to college in NCW

LEAVENWORTH — P.E.O. Chapter JF of Leavenworth is now accepting applications for a scholarship program designed to assist women returning to higher education.

The scholarship targets women age 30 or above who reside in Chelan or Douglas County. Applicants must be currently enrolled in or returning to a higher education program after a two-year or more absence.

Applications for the Fall 2025 academic year must be received by April 30, 2025. Upon confirmation of enrollment, funds will be sent directly to the institution's financial department.

Over the past 10 years, the P.E.O. Scholarship has provided more than $34,000 in support of women in Chelan and Douglas Counties.

Eligible institutions include accredited universities, colleges, and technical schools within Washington state. The program also accepts out-of-state accredited online schools. Students may reapply annually until completing their programs of study.
