Wenatchee Valley Humane Society plans annual Storybook Endings Gala

Posted

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society will hold its annual Storybook Endings Gala on Sept. 26 at the Wenatchee Valley Convention Center.

The event is the Humane Society's largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting shelter services, medical care, behavioral support and enrichment for animals in Chelan and Douglas counties.

Doors will open at 4 p.m., with dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The evening will include fundraising activities, awards and a video about the organization's work.

This year's Storybook Endings theme focuses on animals that have received care through the Humane Society and later been adopted. The program will include the story of Xena, an animal that received care at the shelter before being adopted by a family.

“Every animal that comes through our doors has a story,” said BJ Andersen, Executive Director of Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. “Storybook Endings is a celebration of the happy endings our community helps make possible every day. This event gives our supporters a chance to come together, have a great evening, and make a meaningful difference for pets in need.”

The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society provides animal sheltering, medical and behavioral care, adoptions, animal control, humane education, low-cost spay and neuter and vaccination services and pet food assistance in Chelan and Douglas counties.

Tickets for the gala are available through the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society's website at wenatcheehumane.org.
