Cashmere's newest royalty: Meet the 2024 royal court

Posted

CASHMERE – The new Cashmere Royal Court was selected and crowned on Friday, March 23, after interviews by a panel of three judges.

The 2024 members of the Cashmere Royal Court are Queen Kimberly Strong, Princess Emory Smith, and Princess Brianna Castro.

"Interview night was so much fun," said Val Carney, event organizer and President of the Cashmere Float Association.

"It's always one of my favorite parts of being involved in the Cashmere Float Association is spending the evening watching the candidates bond and enjoy each others' company," she said. "I also love taking that time getting to know the girls a little better."

Judges were Cassie Warman, Kristine Jahr, and Kristina Webb.

Carney said the judges did a phenomenal job.

"Their job was not easy with such a stellar group of young ladies in the running," she said.

"We are so excited about our new royalty, and they are all so excited and ready to serve our community in this new capacity," she said. "Wishing a huge congratulations to Queen Kimberly Strong, Princess Emory Smith, and Princess Brianna Castro."

The Cashmere Royal Court is a longstanding tradition of Cashmere's Founders Days. The three young women will serve as Cashmere ambassadors throughout the state and appear at local festivals and parades throughout the summer.
